Soulja Boy claimed to be the new owner of Atari, but the video game giant put an end to that talk pretty quickly. Atari’s Twitter account shut down any talk of Big Draco stepping in as the boss of the company when they declared their CEO to remain Wade Rosen.
“We know that CEO of Atari is a dream job, but that honor belongs to Wade Rosen,” the company wrote on Thursday night (August 19).
Atari’s response came hours after Soulja Boy hopped on Instagram Live to declare the ink dry and the deal official of him taking over the video game company. He also claimed that he was selling his Soulja Game company for $140 million as well.
“They signed me to a deal at Atari. Big shout out to Atari, the whole staff, I’m about to revamp the company, we going to take Atari to the next level,” he said. “I am now the owner of Atari. I own the video game company Atari.”
Big Draco isn’t one to go out quietly. After sleeping on it, he then addressed Atari during a Friday morning (August 20) Instagram Live session where he pretty much attempted to expose them and posted the alleged contracts the video game company sent over.
“Don’t ever get on the internet and try to play me,” Soulja Boy continued. “Y’all pussy-ass company called me to bring your pussy-ass company back. I played Sega and Nintendo, I never played Atari, n-gga.”
