Emerging from the quiet suburbs, M-Hunt is an artist who has found his voice by embracing his true self and experiences. With a journey marked by personal challenges and a relentless passion for music, he is poised to make a significant impact on the hip-hop scene.

M-Hunt’s decision to fully commit to his music came at a pivotal moment in his life. After stepping down from a full-time position due to a poor work environment, he found himself returning to school—a move he had previously vowed never to make. Coupled with a difficult breakup and financial strains, he realized that music was the one constant that he wanted more than anything else. “I decided it was time to put everything on ‘The Line’,” he reflects, signaling a renewed dedication to his craft. For M-Hunt, the act of creation is fluid and ever-changing. “Sometimes I hear a beat and write, or vice versa,” he explains. Interestingly, half of the time, he comes up with a song title before the song itself to encapsulate a theme. Writing remains his favorite part of the process, offering him the flexibility to change direction or spontaneously craft a new song whenever inspiration strikes.

M-Hunt’s work is deeply influenced by a diverse range of artists. “My biggest inspirations bleed through my work,” he says, citing legends like Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, Lil Wayne, and Cordae. Lately, he’s been delving into the sounds of Future, Baby Keem, Denzel Curry, JID, and Mac Miller. Surprisingly, he also finds inspiration in his own past music. “My old music inspires me to make something better,” he admits, showcasing his commitment to personal growth.

Overcoming Challenges

Breaking into the music industry hasn’t been without its hurdles. Starting out as “a white boy from the burbs” trying to emulate his idols, M-Hunt often rapped about experiences that weren’t his own—money, violence, and a tough persona. “I was always rapping about things that don’t concern me, trying to be like anyone I was listening to when I was 16,” he recalls. Maturing as an artist meant finding his own voice and telling his own story. “The hard part was just to find my voice and realize I just gotta tell MY story,” he emphasizes.

One of the standout experiences in M-Hunt’s career was his first live performance as a headliner in Richmond, Virginia, back in 2022. “That was an awesome night,” he reminisces. It’s clear that live performances hold a special place in his heart, offering a direct connection with his audience.

Inspiration for M-Hunt comes from various sources—listening to new music and artists, exploring beats, and contemplating collaborations or topics. “Just anything that can get my brain going,” he says. Life itself serves as a continuous source of creativity, fueling his passion for making music that resonates. Beyond the beats and rhymes, M-Hunt aims to instill hope in others who have faced similar struggles. “I got made fun of, bullied, and harassed,” he shares. Despite lacking confidence and not standing up for himself in the past, he pushed through those challenges. His message is clear: “Life gets better, no matter what you’re going through. Just live life how you want to.”

Upcoming Projects

Fans have much to look forward to from M-Hunt. His latest single, “The Line,” featuring DDK, is the first release from his upcoming album, “You Wouldn’t Understand,” slated for early 2025. Addressing rumors, he confirms a collaboration with Kato on a track titled “Nillionaire”—a “broke boy anthem” that promises to be the next single. With several more singles planned before the album’s release, M-Hunt is steadily building momentum.
