D Kirk (KV) is an aspiring musician originating from East Philadelphia. He’s had a steady flow of singles and features throughout the years with over 100k plays on Spotify. D Kirk released his first project “Oceans” during the begining of 2020 which certainly helped capture the incredible vocal ability and versatility of his sound. Throughout the years D Kirk has managed to cleverly couple R&B / Soul and rap in manners that explore a greater depth of what being a musician is. He’s talented and credits his love for music to his father. D Kirk also blends elements of dance hall into his music which stems from his Caribbean and Jamaican background. In fact, songs like “Wait For Me” and “Like That” do a great job up of emphasizing just that and create a very lush and vibrant sound. It’s important that artists aim to explore their sound and bring something else to the table. Obviously, that’s not expected with every other single but it’s certainly something that should be considered through the span of an artist’s run. D Kirk is someone who manages to blend different influences and sounds throughout his songs and singles. He is not overdoing it but it is just enough to notice the value with record after record. You don’t have to embrace change all at once but rather emerge yourself one step at a time. D Kirk does just that while succeeding and exceeding expectations!
