Kiss Avery is an Atlanta recording artist who has made quite the headline as of recent. Avery released his latest project ‘Coming Out the Coffin’ which also includes a feature from Lil B. We sat down with the down-to-earth artist and explored the essence of who Kiss Avery is as a person and as an artist!

What drove you to this field?

Kiss Avery: My mother drove me to sing.

What is your creative process like?

Kiss Avery: It really depends on how deep I’m in the feels of creating
or not. If I’m deep I go straight to the booth and start
freestyling to the song without hearing it the production
prior. If I’m not deep in the feels I play videogames or
watch cartoons or even listen to cooky and goofy tunes
before getting into the project!

Do you have any hobbies or interests outside of music?

Kiss Avery: Yes I stream videogames and just chat for Twitch and I
go my nickname DreamBoy, you can find me on Twitch
@DreamBoy Av3ry. I also continue to make music,
watch movies, hang out with friends.

What is it about music that makes you feel passionate?

Kiss Avery: It’s the vibrations that trigger the focal points in the body
to where you can hear feel and resignate with on another

Describe your favorite and least favorite part about being a musician.

Kiss Avery: My favorite part is making the music and being in the
creative works of possibilities. The least part are the
moments when the possibilities can sometimes interrupt
the process of an original idea.

If not rap, what else would you be doing right now?

Kiss Avery: Acting most definitely!

What would be your dream collaboration?

Kiss Avery: My dream collaboration actually just came true not too
long ago where Lil B the BASEDGOD made an
appearance on my Album but now I’m looking forward to
having a one day collaboration with FKA Twigs, that
would be a dream come true for sure

What inspires you most?

Kiss Avery: Laughter inspires me the most for sure to start making
music but as far as the content the idea that women are
still by far the most disrespected and manipulated beings
on the planet especially BLACK WOMEN.
