Swedish-born Florida artist Ak Rite LiQ is a shinning example that anything is possible no matter what obstacles are thrown against you. The young up-and-coming artist was once thriving as a two sport-star player in his high-school league turned college dropout. It was never that easy for the aspiring rapper. An altercation with a body of police officers soon enough resulted in the termination of his studies at FAU. He was only defending himself but unfortunately the odds were certainly stacked against him. LiQ was charged with 8 batteries against an officer as well as resisting arrest with violence. At the same time LiQ was working 3 jobs (Footlocker, Campus Rec, and Refereeing youth leagues) while taking 15 credit hours. Once he was terminated from his studies he lost his campus job and refereeing job, shortly after, footlocker advised him to come back after his case was over” since officers began visiting his store more frequently to ask questions. LiQ fell into a certain type of lifestyle shortly while stranded and homeless which is heavily played out in his music. LiQ started making music around this time which was at 23 years-old. His music is dynamic and expands not only on storytelling but also sparks emotion. Fortunately, LiQ beat his case and successfully went back to finish his school. LiQ anticipates a release for his next album “305 to NY” sometime in the near future. Fans can expect a collage of records from the young artist with no intention of stopping anytime soon.
